When I was doing sadhana in a beautiful ashram and with beautiful saints, they made a lottery. I’m not joking this is serious. The lottery is, in a small room with a small flame, I have to meditate inside with a wild cobra and no clothes. Pronunciation must be very accurate - certain siddhi I’m going to receive there. The senior most saint, ninety-two year’s old man, he took the wild cobra, he burned the tail of the cobra with the flame, then he threw it inside the room and he locked the door. It is so aggressive. Cobra is, so aggressive. I had to protect the flame, it should not turn off, and I have to keep chanting facing the East, with having no fear. If I have a fear I’ll lose that siddhi. The fear of death, I have to completely avoid that. Let it happen whatever is going to happen. Simply I’m sitting there and doing it.
The first ten minutes it is very crazy aggressive. It really wants to hit me. I’m blinking my eyes making it stop, “Wait, wait, wait!” And I keep chanting it. Later on, it calmed down and entered on my body. It’s going on my lap, turning around, going around my neck and playing. Imagine once, a wild cobra is playing on your body while you’re chanting - that is spirituality. That is, spirituality .
I hoped some of my friends outside could take care of me. Strong determined willpower - if you win the fear of death, no energy, no guts can touch you. The maximum worst fear is death. You can protect from any types of fear, you can come out of any type of fear but the death fear is very crazy.
Many people are thinking, “No Swami, I don’t have the fear of death.” I don’t believe it, once you reach there, all chakras start to open creating a huge fear in you. There’s only one soul I saw very strongly, I personally witnessed it, no fear of the death - that is the Jesus Christ. Absolutely smiling. A one-eye blind person put the needle to Jesus’ palm. The blood poured on his blind eye. His sight came in that eye then he cannot beat the nail anymore. Jesus simply said, “Do your duty.” Do, your duty.
